Parker's Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue and relies on our volunteer foster families to continue rescue efforts.
When you foster a dog from Parker's Animal Rescue, you don't need to worry about what your pup will need. We provide everything from the crate, food, leash, toys, vet visits, and so much more! What you do need to provide is love, patience, and teaching to the pup! We are there to help guide you with training and getting your dog ready for their forever home. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your foster pup flourish and grow!
On the fence about fostering? We're flexible!
- PAR's office hours are from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. This provides opportunities for daytime care for your foster pup.
- PAR has dedicated volunteer dog walkers who are ready to assist with check-ins and ensure that your foster pup gets the exercise and companionship they need to thrive.
- We can work with you! If you are still unsure if you can take on a foster animal, give us a call at 970-769-2584 to discuss how we can help.
Fostering is incredibly rewarding. But don't just take our word for it! Check out what current fosters have to say:
Sam says, "We love that each foster gets the chance to be part of a family while they wait for their forever homes to find them. We get to train them, love them, and learn about them so that we can help place them in their perfect homes. And in the meantime, it doesn’t hurt that we get showered with lots of puppy love and kisses!"
Deven says, "Now that our kids are older and understand how to safely welcome a dog in to our home, we are excited to foster so we can help provide a safe and loving environment for a rescue dog and assist in making a successful transition to his/her forever home. We are very grateful for the opportunity to be a foster family!"
Angie says, "My sweet girl Gracie passed away. I decided I wanted to honor her by giving back. I wanted to do something for groups that were finding forever homes like the one Gracie had. Fostering has been so fun!"
Jill says, "We thought fostering a dog would be a good opportunity for us to try having a second dog in our household without committing to anything long-term. Our dog has enjoyed having a playmate, and we're all happy to give our new pal the love he deserves while he finds his forever home."
Annie says, "My favorite part is probably just learning all the tricks of the 'proper' way to train a dog. It's crazy how many things I was unaware of before this experience!"
