Ducky

Ducky is the kind of dog who makes himself right at home in your heart.

This affectionate, goofy boy absolutely adores his people and wants nothing more than to be close by — whether that’s cuddling on the couch, soaking up the sun on the porch, following you around the house, or gazing at you lovingly like you’re the most important person in the world. His foster describes him as incredibly sweet, attentive, and “VERY lovable,” and it’s honestly impossible not to fall for him.

Ducky has such a fun, joyful personality. He loves morning zoomies in the yard with his dog friends, carrying around his giant stuffed lamb toy, and being part of whatever’s going on. He’s playful and silly without being over-the-top, and he brings such a warm, happy energy into a home.

He’s also been a wonderful house guest in foster care. He picks up on routines and training quickly, especially when given consistency, encouragement, and lots of love.

Ducky enjoys other dogs and is very interested in making friends. While he can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed by quick introductions or overly forward dogs at first, he settles in nicely with thoughtful introductions and continued guidance. He’s made wonderful progress in foster care and continues to build confidence every day. Ducky would also likely do best in a home without cats.

More than anything, Ducky is a loving, loyal companion who bonds deeply with his people and wants to be included in everyday life. He’s the kind of dog who will happily curl up beside you after a fun day and remind you constantly just how loved you are.
