If you had to describe Poppy in one word, it would be enthusiastic — and she absolutely is. She throws her whole heart into everything: playtime, hikes, sunbathing, training, loving her people. She doesn’t do anything halfway.

Poppy LOVES other dogs — especially puppies — and is happiest when she has a canine friend to wrestle with. She loves when others match her energy, but she’s also capable of adjusting her own energy once she figures out another dog’s vibe. Watching her learn to read other dogs has been incredible.

She truly comes alive outside. Morning walks are her favorite time of day — eat, snooze, then she’s ready to roll. Hiking? Yes. Sunbathing afterward on the porch? Even better.

Poppy is extremely smart — a natural problem solver who uses her paws to figure things out. Her “sit” is immediate and solid, and she’s working hard on “down.” She thrives with confidence and consistency.

Poppy will bond deeply with her person. She is the dog for someone active, experienced, and committed — someone who wants a smart, athletic, loving companion and understands that gaining her trust means gaining her entire heart.

Her dream home?
An active household with another playful dog, a fenced yard for romping and sunbathing, and committed humans. She’s happiest wrestling with a dog friend, basking in the sun, or dragging blankets around the house like prized possessions. (Seriously — her future home should invest in a blanket basket.)
